Cutting the Clutter
For years, Football Manager players have juggled an ever-increasing depth of data. While this complexity is the series' greatest strength, it can sometimes feel like administrative overload. With the upcoming launch of Football Manager 27 in November 2026, Sports Interactive is shifting its focus toward efficiency, promising an interface that gets you the information you need with significantly fewer clicks.

Smart Navigation and Data Delivery
The most significant change in FM27 is how information is served to the player. Developers have moved away from the 'click-heavy' tile system for simple updates. For instance, scout reports are now visible directly within the message window, eliminating the need to navigate away from your inbox. Similarly, transfer offers are being consolidated—multiple offers for a single player will now appear in one message, streamlining your decision-making process.
- Inline Data: Scout reports are now presented directly in messages.
- Consolidated Offers: Multiple transfer bids are grouped together to reduce clutter.
- Customizable Bookmarks: Added text descriptors and drag-and-drop reordering for the Bookmark Bar.
- Responsive Scaling: New preferences allow the UI to adapt fluidly to screen sizes from laptops to 4K monitors.
- Shortcut Remapping: Enhanced control over navigation hotkeys.
Designed for Discovery
Beyond just making menus faster, Sports Interactive is tweaking the 'continue' logic. The game will now occasionally surface information from outside your immediate Portal, encouraging players to explore different areas of their club and the wider footballing world. This shift is designed to make the journey through a season feel more dynamic, ensuring you don't miss key developments while buried in a specific screen.
Our goal with these changes is simple: for them to feel efficient and intuitive, so you can focus on discovery and exploring the wider footballing world.
