A Multi-Billion Dollar Roadmap for Gaza
The Trump administration’s Board of Peace has officially unveiled a $2.45 billion recovery plan aimed at addressing the immediate aftermath of the war in Gaza. Announced on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the proposal represents a significant step in attempting to stabilize the region and provide a framework for future reconstruction.

Scope of the Reconstruction
The current $2.45 billion six-month plan is merely the opening phase of a much larger vision. According to the Board of Peace, the total cost for full physical and economic recovery in Gaza is projected to hit $71.4 billion over the next ten years. The damage to the territory is currently estimated at $35.2 billion.
- Infrastructure development and utility restoration (water and electricity)
- Temporary housing solutions and debris removal
- Hospital repairs and human development projects
- Economic acceleration and digital transformation
- The deployment of a multinational security force
The Road Ahead: Hurdles and Hopes
While the plan lays out a detailed 66-project blueprint, officials acknowledge that success remains contingent on complex political factors. The Board of Peace has not yet secured the full $2.45 billion in funding but maintains that donor countries are ready to engage once necessary political hurdles are cleared. Cooperation from both Israeli and Palestinian leadership remains the most critical variable in determining whether this recovery strategy can move from paper to reality.
The plan shows how to stand up a government from nothing, an economy from shambles and a territory from disaster.
